Hotmail’s colourful problems in Mozilla Firefox

About three weeks ago Hotmail applied the set of changes to hosted accounts. Although updates are meant to do good, unfortunately this time something went wrong. Please take a closer look at the issue.

You can see in the picture above that the background colors and default content position are misplaced. Hard to say what causes this problem, but very easy to make it disappear.

Return Path logo

The Return Path Team investigated thouroughly and found out a solution. They published an article about managing background colors in Hotmail on Firefox. Looks like setting a background color using the body tag is completely ignored, therefore an additional measure needs to be taken. Just insert the following in-line style into your HTML code inside the troubling table part:

Simple and effective. Everything should be displayed properly from now on.
